Newspointe is our termly newsletter that is distributed to pupils towards the end of each term.  We like to share the successes of our pupils with you and our notice boards in the entrance hall of the Prospect Court Studios are kept up to date with examination results, competition results etc along with details of coaching classes, rehearsals etc. We also like to bring you news of former pupils and students dancing and teaching professionally in the UK and abroad.

Here comes the show!

The pupils of the Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama combine with the Students of the Judith Hockaday College to present ...

                                                      'LET'S MAKE NOISE'

- an extravaganze of music and dance at Swindon's Wyvern Theatre on 29th & 30th June.

Tickets are available from the theatre box office. See you there!

Judith Hockaday College student Adam Tewkesbury was chosen to perform the ISTD Intermediate Ballet syllabus work for the filming of a new ISTD DVD. The completed DVD will be available to both members of the public and teachers worldwide as a training and performance guide.  In the last few years, the JHS and JHC has been selected to provide dancers for several of the new ISTD DVDs across various genre, and these DVDs are proving to be a very valuable asset particularly to teachers working abroad when perhaps their opportunity to return to the UK for revision and updates can be limited.

The popular JHS SUMMER DANCE WEEK 2017 will be held from the 24th – 28th July this year. This year is a rather special one for us as it is our 50th!

JHS pupils danced their way to 61 medals and 10 trophies at the recent Wiltshire Dance Festival with sisters Chloe and Emily Frost both being awarded Championship medals.

At the Banbury Dance Festival in March 72 medals were won by JHS pupils with nine pupils also awarded Special Gold Certificates for achieving the Highest Mark of the Festival in their respective sections.
